The main grievance I have with the product and the brand in general is that you have to shop for the sheath separately. I have bought two blades from this brand and had to order two sheathes to house the blades. It just seems as though they could save buyers a couple steps by just selling the sheath with it for a slightly higher price. Also, a machete sharpener may need to be used to get the edge you want on this blade. All that being said, I am still glad to have found this piece on amazon, as it is often hard to find machetes of this length and style online. Honestly, after a few passes with a sharpener, the blade came out pretty well suited for cutting.I did have a whole bunch expectations which was good. First off the good I love the over all look of the sword it profile as a strong resemblance to pioneer swords and artillery swords of the 19th and early 20th centuries . It lite weight and handy. Now the bad. Mystery steel. Edge is inconsistently ground. Not many worries on that first time you hit some thing the edge it does have will be lost.Black plastic handle and guard are molded to the blade making it impossible to know the length of the tang. Which makes the idea of putting your own handle on it a little more concerning. One more thing about the hadle it look and feels like a block of cheap plastic. Over all might make a decent prop. But the soften of the steel and feel of the handle make for a bad tool.Sharper than I expected it to be.I ordered mine and it came with a wood handle that was cracked and loose but the blade is pretty nice came kinda dull and also vibrates alot when you hit anything solid but you get what you pay formakes yard work fun.
